The Pamlico County Chamber of Commerce has partnered with many organizations in order to promote economic growth in Pamlico County. Through a grant awarded to the Town of Bayboro in 2010 by the North Carolina Rural Center, STEP was formed. STEP, Small Town Economic Prosperity, was made up of key citizens who labored long to pinpoint strategic business opportunities and to find suitable business for Pamlico County. Below are the Core Business Capabilities plan, Tourim Plan and Senior Friendly Plan that was produced from this project.
